Stacked-Flex Nib
This method of flex nib was invented by myself. It involves 2 nibs. One serves as an overfeed. The other is cut to proper geometry to give ample flexibility. I will let the video speak for itself.
This is a listing for the nib unit alone.
The feed and housing are ebonite.
Also, I can customize the line width. Please beware that flex nibs need to be learned to use. With improper use, the nib will get damaged easily, and I cannot guarantee to fix a misused nib.
Please also be aware that steel nibs generally are not as long lived as gold nibs. The steel nib can splay with forceful flexing, or with long term use..I cannot tell how long the nibs will last. I have used a steel flex for over 2 years, doing fine..
Lastly, I can also make this kind of flex out of other nibs. I have done Leonardos, Montblanc 149 etc. that will be done on a case by case basis.
Please be advised that I make these nibs per order basis. I communicate with the purchaser throughout the process, in order to make absolutely sure they know what they are getting. I pay individual attention to every customer and every nib I work is tailored to the request. Thus, I am not able to take returns as a general rule, absent very rare circumstances such as lost in transit.
Taking returns makes my service into an Amazon like situation. The many many hours that I spend on making each ordered nib possible is precious time away from my family in between my work shifts. I will, however, work with my customers to ensure they get 100% what they ask for. If the nib my customer receives needs tweaking etc, I will gladly do that if the pen is shipped to me. I will generally only charge only shipping.
Please beware that using flex nibs requires learning and experience. If the nib is splayed out of sorts due to improper use [damaged], I may be unable to return it to its original condition.
Thank you much for understanding.
